In the pharmaceutical packaging world, accurate boxes labeling is crucial. Our Z60A Grand Printer Applicator provides a complete automated solution for printing and applying shipping labels directly to pharmacy cartons, ensuring compliance, traceability, and accuracy.
System Overview
The core of this solution is the Mid-Z6 Grand Label Printer equipped with a label pressure sensor, supporting a 4-inch print width and 300 dpi resolution. Labels are applied using the Par-1 air tamp applicator with a 150 mm cylinder stroke, ensuring secure and accurate labeling even on large or heavy cartons. The HD-10 Vacuum-Blow Plate securely holds labels before application, while the Fixed Height Mounting Stand provides stable positioning during continuous operation.
This system supports labeling rates of more than 1,000 labels per hour. Labels are printed using thermal transfer printing technology, delivering crisp 300 dpi graphics and text. Each label measures 100mm x 60mm and is printed and applied vertically from top to bottom. The labeling tolerance is ±1.0mm.
Workflow and Control
The print applicator utilizes a streamlined five-step process designed for maximum efficiency. First, the system receives the required label data from the host control system, a process that takes just 0.3 seconds. Next, the printer creates the label and securely affixes it to the labeling plate, a process that takes approximately 1 second. When a corrugated box arrives at the designated labeling location, the air tamp applicator activates and precisely applies the label. The cylinder then smoothly returns to its standby position within 0.5 seconds, preparing the system for the next cycle. Finally, the machine remains ready, awaiting the next print command, allowing the process to be repeated immediately.
Once the box arrives at the designated location, the system of the labeling software, OPEXE Printing retrieves, queues, and sends variable data to the printer applicator. The system reports back the results and device status for comprehensive production tracking.
Accuracy is paramount throughout the entire workflow. Each shipping label must precisely correspond to its assigned carton to ensure that every package can be accurately tracked. To enhance reliability, the system incorporates a downstream scanning and verification process. This additional check ensures that any potential labeling errors are immediately detected and prevented, safeguarding pharmacy logistics compliance.
Why pharmacy Logistics is So Important
In pharmacy logistics, even a single box labeling error can lead to costly delays or compliance issues. The Z60A Grand printer applicator, with its precise control, fast cycle times, and near-zero error rate, helps ensure every box is traceable and correctly labeled.
